JobKorea said on Monday it completed the transfer of JobPlanet’s business, operated by Braincommerce, as of Dec. 31, 2025 and incorporated JobPlanet as a JobKorea subsidiary.

With the acquisition, JobKorea will accelerate its shift from a platform centered on job postings to an AI-based career platform that combines company information and career data.

It plans to expand this in a way tailored to the domestic environment, drawing on the hiring, company information and career-connection structure built by Indeed and LinkedIn in global markets.

The company said that combining JobKorea’s large-scale hiring data with JobPlanet’s company reviews and organizational culture data is expected to enable an AI-based career support experience that goes beyond recommending which posting fits a job seeker, to explaining why the choice is reasonable.

JobPlanet will continue to maintain an independent brand and service operating structure, and plans to strengthen community functions so users can gain a more multi-dimensional understanding of companies based on the real experiences of companies and their members. JobKorea’s strategy is to use this to advance a service system that improves decision-making quality not only after applications are submitted, but also at the pre-application “selection stage.”

JobKorea views the acquisition not as short-term business expansion but as a key pillar of its mid- to long-term strategy to become an AI and data-driven technology company. The company plans to improve the accuracy of connections between job seekers and companies based on accumulated data across hiring and careers, and to keep raising overall service completeness across the platform.

JobKorea Chief Executive Yoon Hyun-joon said the acquisition was a strategic decision to become an AI career partner that takes responsibility not only after hiring but also through the pre-application selection stage. He said JobKorea will build on the data and technological competitiveness it has accumulated as a leading domestic hiring platform to solidify HR-tech leadership that leads the market.
