AI full-stack company Elice Group said on Tuesday it has joined the LG AI Research consortium and will participate in the government’s independent AI foundation model project.
Elice Group will serve as infrastructure in the second consortium to efficiently deliver LG AI Research’s large language model, K-EXAONE (EXAONE), to public and private sites. It will build a managed AI platform environment that provides K-EXAONE as a stable API, based on the operating system of the Elice AI Portable Modular Data Center (PMDC). The company plans to support public institutions and private companies so they can quickly use dedicated AI environments without having to build separate infrastructure.
For industrial sites where security and reliability are important, such as manufacturing, finance and the public sector, it will provide specialised services including task automation, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and document generation, and will step up expansion into B2G and B2B markets. For general users, it plans to incorporate the K-EXAONE model into its generative AI solution for companies and institutions, AI HelpyChat, in April.
Elice Group CEO Jaewon Kim (김재원) said, "We will take the lead in developing the domestic AI ecosystem and technological self-reliance by creating an environment where anyone can easily and stably use domestic independent AI models."
