Content Wavve, which operates the OTT streaming service Wavve, said on Thursday it held a board meeting the previous day and appointed Lee Yang-gi (이양기), head of CJ ENM's OTT Competitiveness Reinforcement Task Force, as its new chief executive officer.

Lee is a media and financial strategy expert who previously served as head of business management at CJ ENM and as chief financial officer at Tving. He has served as Content Wavve's CFO since 2025.

Lee has played a leading role in raising the value of combining the two companies even before taking office. He led efforts to strengthen service competitiveness by supplying key content such as CJ ENM films and tvN dramas to Wavve, launching joint Wavve-Tving products and an ad-supported plan (AVOD), mutually supplying original content, and securing broadcast rights for KLPGA and KPGA professional golf.

Lee said, "I will do my best to deliver the best content experience to users by creating synergies between Wavve and Tving, which are pursuing a merger."
