K Bank said on Wednesday it has introduced a mobile ID link-up service in cooperation with Naver and will run an event for new customers.

To mark the launch of the Naver mobile ID link-up service, K Bank will offer up to 10,000 won in cash benefits through the end of December.

The event targets customers who sign up for K Bank for the first time through a dedicated page, and 7,000 won will be paid immediately upon joining.

An additional 3,000 won will be paid if customers use the Naver mobile ID as the identity verification method while opening a daily account after signing up, for total benefits of up to 10,000 won.

Naver mobile ID is a digital identity verification method based on the Naver app that enables identity checks without a physical ID card. K Bank introduced the verification method to simplify account-opening procedures and improve convenience for non-face-to-face sign-ups.

The cooperation aims to strengthen the financial user experience based on simple authentication by combining the Naver platform with K Bank’s non-face-to-face financial services.

A K Bank official said, "We have improved customers’ access to financial services and convenience through cooperation with Naver," adding, "We will continue to expand customer benefits and services through links with various platforms."
