Line Games said on Tuesday it will officially launch the MMORPG Uncharted Waters Origin in China on April 28. The game is serviced by the company and jointly developed by Motif and Koei Tecmo Games.
The local service name is Uncharted Waters: Origin (大航海时代：起源). Shengqu Games will handle publishing. More than 5 million users took part in a pre-registration campaign held last year.
Uncharted Waters Origin offers content including trade, combat and exploration, set in the 16th century Age of Discovery.
Users can play based on the same data through multi-platform linkage across PC, iOS and AOS environments. It supports a real-time trading system, ship customisation and history-based content.
Line Games plans to broaden its global user reach for Uncharted Waters Origin through the China launch.
