Toss Bank said on Tuesday its "6th annual general meeting of shareholders" and board meeting, held on March 31 at its headquarters on Teheran-ro in Seoul's Gangnam-gu, approved as proposed an agenda item to reappoint Lee Eun-mi (이은미) as chief executive officer.

Lee will lead Toss Bank for two years from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2028.

With her reappointment, Lee plans to drive a leap forward for Toss Bank based on three management directions.

She plans to solidify the bank's trust foundation by strengthening its customer protection system and internal controls. She also plans to accelerate digital banking innovation by internalising and advancing AI and data-based technology. She also plans to build a foundation for sustainable growth by diversifying the bank's loan and deposit portfolio and expanding non-interest income sources.

Lee said, "The essence of a bank is trust with customers." She added, "I will do my utmost to further strengthen the fundamentals, including internal controls and system stability, and financial soundness and stability, to build an unshakable foundation of trust."

She added, "Through technological innovation, I will improve the convenience of finance and expand inclusive finance to provide financial benefits to more customers."
