HYBE said on Tuesday it appointed Isaac Lee (아이작 리), chairman and CEO of HYBE America, as an inside director and Kevin Mayer (케빈 메이어), former senior executive vice president at The Walt Disney Co, as a non-executive director through its regular shareholders meeting.

Lee, as chairman and CEO of HYBE America, oversees business in the United States and Latin America. HYBE plans to unify its decision-making system between headquarters and overseas hubs to strengthen business execution in North America and Latin America.

It will focus on global business competitiveness by upgrading its "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy to secure diverse genres and artists centered on regional hubs.

Mayer previously served as senior executive vice president and chief strategy officer at The Walt Disney Co, leading the launch of Disney Plus. He built a network in platform and content investment through roles including TikTok CEO and as a co-founder of Candle Media.

HYBE said it will build on this to upgrade its global platform business capabilities and raise expertise in investment and strategic partnership processes.

A HYBE official said, "Global platform and media experts will join the board, advancing the decision-making system," adding, "The addition of director Isaac Lee, who will lead cooperation between headquarters and overseas hubs, and director Kevin Mayer, who will manage platform business risks, will help growth in global markets."
