Hana Bank said on Tuesday it has opened a multipurpose rest area called the Hana Nara Sarang Card Lounge for service members and Nara Sarang Card users.
The lounge is located near Exit 1 of Euljiro 1-ga Station in Seoul and is connected to Hana Bank’s headquarters. It will be run as an open space that anyone can use freely, in a location with high accessibility in the city centre.
Operating hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Hana Bank said it planned the space for extended stays, and visitors can use basic services such as rest areas, mobile phone charging and free WiFi.
The lounge also provides tailored services for service members and Nara Sarang Card holders. It offers a self-service coffee bar and temporary storage for backpacks and suitcases. The bank said the measure is aimed at improving mobility for service members who are on outings or leave.
On-site events are also being held. Customers who receive a Nara Sarang Card at the lounge will be given prizes such as portable batteries and hand cream. The bank also set up a "service member support event" that will give away items such as iPads and coffee coupons through a draw to those who post support messages and verified visit photos on SNS.
A Hana Bank official said, "We created this space to improve convenience for service members and convey our gratitude." The official added, "We will continue to expand services and spaces tailored to customer characteristics."
