Shinhan Bank said on Tuesday it will run an '11pay Shinhan Bank account-linking event' with 11st through May 31.

The event targets customers who have not made payments by linking a Shinhan Bank account to 11pay over the past year.

Customers who apply on 11st's event page will immediately receive a 5,000 won discount coupon. The coupon can be used when paying through a Shinhan Bank account linked to 11pay. During the event period, customers will receive a 5,000 won coupon for 1 payment via 11pay Shinhan Bank one-touch payment and an additional 5,000 won coupon for 2 payments, for benefits of up to 15,000 won. Coupons will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at 11 a.m. each day.

It also said customers who pay through a Shinhan Bank account linked to 11pay by Dec. 31 will receive up to 2 percent of their purchase amount, capped at 5,000 points per transaction, as 11pay points.

A Shinhan Bank official said the event was arranged to strengthen customer benefits based on its partnership with 11st, adding it will continue to introduce various services linking shopping and finance.
