OpenAI said its shares would soon be included in several exchange-traded funds run by ARK Invest, led by Cathie Wood, Axios reported on Monday.

ARK Invest has previously invested in OpenAI through its venture capital arm. OpenAI also sold about $3 billion worth of shares to retail investors through a recent private stock sale targeting clients of three large banks, Axios reported.

Sarah Friar (사라 프라이어), OpenAI's chief financial officer, said in an interview with Axios, "We are considering not only access to technology but also access to the economic benefits created by AI."

The $3 billion is part of a recently completed $122 billion funding round. OpenAI's post-money valuation was assessed at $852 billion. The round included $110 billion previously committed by Amazon, Nvidia and SoftBank, and also drew participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), D. E. Shaw Ventures, MGX, TPG, T. Rowe Price and Microsoft.
