[DigitalToday reporter Ji-young Lee] Toss Bank said on Feb. 24 it will run a rewards event for customers with sole proprietor accounts through Feb. 27.
During the event period, customers who open a sole proprietor account for the first time will receive a random reward of up to 50,000 won. If a friend opens an account through a link shared by a customer who holds a sole proprietor account, a reward will be provided for each account opened. Rewards accumulate with no limit on the number of times.
Toss Bank's sole proprietor account is designed to automatically categorise sales and spending based on deposit and withdrawal records so customers can see business cash flow at a glance. It allows owners to manage income and expenses with a single account without a separate bookkeeping program, reducing the management burden for busy owners.
A sole proprietor vault service operated alongside it is a parking account service that allows funds to be split and kept in up to 30 parts depending on purpose, such as salaries, rent and value-added tax. Deposits and withdrawals can be made at any time, and interest is paid even if funds are deposited for just 1 day.
A Toss Bank official said, "For business owners, managing funds is the most important area, but at the same time one of the most cumbersome tasks." The official added, "Through this event, we hope more sole proprietors will directly experience simple fund management by using the account and the vault."
