Pearl Abyss said on Sunday its new game "Crimson Desert" recorded 270,000 concurrent users on Steam.
Steam user reviews shifted from "mostly positive" to "very positive" by global standards a week after launch. The game currently ranks second among the most popular games on Steam and first among paid games.
Pearl Abyss rolled out a patch on March 29 that improved controls, cut loading times and upgraded the user interface, while adding new content.
"Crimson Desert" is an open-world action-adventure game that follows the journey of the protagonist, "Kliff", and his Graymane companions. Players explore the open-world continent of "Pywel" to find their hometown and gather companions.
It sold 2 million copies on global platforms on its release day and reached 3 million copies in 4 days.
The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Steam, Apple Mac and the Epic Games Store.
