KB Securities said on March 30 it visited Jinan County in North Jeolla Province on March 29 to carry out the "Happy Ttukttak" medical volunteer program for elderly people who have difficulty visiting hospitals.

A total of 35 people, including KB Securities employees and medical staff from the Open Doctors Society, provided comprehensive medical services in internal medicine, traditional Korean medicine and orthopedics for about 140 elderly residents at the Sports Gonggam Center in Seongsu-myeon, Jinan County, North Jeolla Province. They also delivered basic medicines, supplements and souvenirs.

At the same time, it bought rice, a local specialty of Jinan in North Jeolla Province, the volunteer site, and donated it to 3 social welfare facilities in nearby Jeonju.

KB Securities plans to continue its medical volunteer activities in the first half of this year, starting with Jinan in North Jeolla Province and extending to Uiryeong in South Gyeongsang Province and Uljin in North Gyeongsang Province.

A KB Securities official said, "KB Securities continues social contribution activities that reflect the values of inclusive finance and mutual growth to narrow regional gaps and build a society that grows together." The official added, "We will continue to put warm care into practice based on ESG management and corporate social responsibility."
