Kakao Style said on Sunday that the sales value of Zigzag’s brand fashion category has risen more than 14-fold over four years.

Zigzag’s annual data show the category’s average annual sales value growth rate was 110 percent from 2021 to 2025. It rose 1,378 percent in the four years since the category was launched. Zigzag opened the brand fashion category in 2021 to focus on expanding its selection on the platform.

The number of buyers rose from 300,000 in 2021, increasing 536 percent by 2025. Cumulative buyers over the four years exceeded 3 million.

The company explained that since the launch of the brand category, Zigzag has expanded its category from a focus on customers in their 20s to target women customers aged 30 and above.

New buyers in their 30s and 40s last year rose more than eightfold, or 724 percent, versus 2021. Over the same period, new buyers in their 20s increased 476 percent. The share of customers in their 20s, which had accounted for 70 percent of brand fashion sales value in the past, fell to 40 percent last year, while the share of customers in their 30s and 40s expanded to 48 percent.

The number of brands in the category rose fourfold to 3,800 last year from 900 in 2021, after the launch of the brand fashion category. Items on offer diversified beyond everyday wear to include innerwear and activewear. Leggings from athleisure brand Xexymix recorded the highest sales among all leggings items on Zigzag. Innerwear brand Comfort Lab’s sales value last year rose 115 percent from 2023.

Sales volume of Zigzag brand fashion products eligible for its Jikjin Delivery service also grew last year. After the service was introduced in the category, sales volume rose 343 percent from 2022. As of the end of last year, about 33,000 brand fashion products were available for purchase through Jikjin Delivery. Zigzag explained it strengthened competitiveness by expanding brand selection and creating synergy with its fast-delivery service.

A Kakao Style official said, "The brand fashion category has become a key engine driving Zigzag’s leap as a women’s platform," adding, "We will continue to provide a broad range of brand products and differentiated services in line with customers’ diverse needs."
