SSR, an information security consulting and security solutions company, said on Sunday it will proceed with a merger to absorb its subsidiary Trinitysoft, an application security company. The merger will be structured as a merger of a subsidiary in which SSR holds a 99 percent stake, with the merger date set for April 28.
Trinitysoft is an application security company founded in January 2005 and was incorporated as a 99 percent subsidiary of SSR in July 2024. Its flagship products include the source code vulnerability analysis solution CODE-RAY XG and the web vulnerability analysis solution SCAN-RAY XG. It has developed its business in application security mainly in the public, financial and corporate markets.
SSR explained that the merger is a strategic decision to build an integrated security system covering infrastructure and applications by combining SSR's infrastructure vulnerability assessment technology with Trinitysoft's application security capabilities.
SSR plans to use the merger as an opportunity to strengthen its platform competitiveness by leveraging an integrated security portfolio.
SSR Chief Executive Pil-joo Ko (고필주) said, "This merger is a strategic measure to advance our security technology portfolio and respond proactively to changes in the market." He said the company plans to expand its business in core markets based on its integrated platform competitiveness.
