Samsung Electronics' DX division held an event with heads of partner companies to reaffirm its commitment to shared growth. Samsung Electronics said on Thursday it held its 2026 Co-Prosperity Cooperation Day at DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo in Seongnam, Gyeonggi province. About 120 people attended, including representatives of about 90 DX division partner companies, such as Kim Young-jae (김영재), head of the partner company council, and Roh Tae-moon (노태문), president and representative director of Samsung Electronics, along with other senior executives.

The event, held since 2012, is a forum for Samsung Electronics and partner companies to communicate and reaffirm their commitment to shared growth. This year, events will be held by division to strengthen communication with partner companies. The DS division’s Co-Prosperity Cooperation Day is set for April 3 at The UniverSE in Yongin, Gyeonggi province.

Kim, head of the partner council, stressed that “in the era of the AI revolution, only change is the way to live.” He said he hoped partners would overcome crises and continue to develop together through a one-team partnership. He also urged efforts so that the fruits of co-prosperity management built with care would extend to second- and third-tier partner companies.

Roh said he would work to innovate with partner companies and provide customers with the best AI experience through the best products. He said partners should leap forward together as “strategic companions” that jointly design a blueprint for future industries and achieve great results through limitless innovation. Roh also mentioned the need to shift manufacturing and quality processes to AI and pledged full support for a transition to smart factories.

Samsung Electronics awarded 20 partner companies for achievements last year in technology, quality and production innovation, localisation of technology and ESG. Fourteen companies won grand and excellence prizes in the innovation category, while six companies received an ESG special award. SJI, an electronic device connectivity interface solution company, won the grand prize after commercialising an AI boiling-detection sensor based on frequency patterns that automatically adjusts induction heat output with AI.

Samsung Electronics continues support in three areas — funding, technology and workforce — to strengthen partner companies’ competitiveness. In funding, it provides low-interest loans through a co-prosperity fund created in 2010, and since November 2024 it has supported interest-free loans by creating a 1 trillion won ESG fund with Samsung Display. In technology, it has transferred about 2,500 patents free of charge through last year and is also operating a 50 billion won co-investment technology development programme with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
