KB Securities said on March 26 it carried out a support project for Mokdong Kkaebi Market to help revitalise traditional markets and local communities.

The Mokdong Kkaebi Market support project is a new social contribution program that promotes both the creation of a community space for the merchants association and support for nearby vulnerable households.

KB Securities first provided items needed to run the community to help activate the merchants association network and laid the groundwork for exchanges and communication among merchants.

It also delivered Kkaebi Market vouchers that can be used at traditional markets and restaurants to vulnerable households that use a nearby regional child centre, providing practical support for daily living.

In particular, financial education programs for children were run at four regional child centres: Seonhan, Hangil, Kkumdoong and Christo. It also provided practical aprons to merchants and shopping hand carts to children.

Kang Jin-du (강진두), CEO of KB Securities, said, "KB Securities cherishes the value of inclusive finance that enables us to grow together." He added, "We will continue to strive to deliver warm hope to our neighbours."
