KB Kookmin Bank said on March 26 it released a special video, "Ahn Jung-geun, Who Changed an Enemy's Heart", to mark the death anniversary of Ahn Jung-geun.

The video was produced as part of an independence movement commemorative project, the "Korea Lives On" campaign. KB Kookmin Bank has steadily released videos in its "Hidden Stories of Independence Heroes" series since 2020.

This year, it co-planned the project with Seo Kyung-duk (서경덕), a professor at Sungshin Women's University, to highlight a lesser-known story about Ahn Jung-geun. Actor Cho Woo-jin (조우진), who appeared in the films "Hero" and "Harbin", provided narration.

The video presents Ahn Jung-geun's final calligraphic work as a factor that influenced Chiba's life. It also includes his actions in rejecting imperialism and commemorating Ahn Jung-geun throughout his life.

The video is available on the KB Kookmin Bank YouTube channel with Korean and English subtitles.

A KB Kookmin Bank official said the bank sought to highlight Ahn Jung-geun not only as a hero but as a human being, marking the anniversary of his death. The official said it will continue to share various stories of independence heroes through the "Korea Lives On" campaign.
