Google has unveiled its AI music generation model Lyria 3 Pro, TechCrunch reported on Tuesday.
Compared with Lyria 3, the new version extends the length of tracks it can generate to 3 minutes from 30 seconds. It also improves controls so creators can specify musical elements in detail, including intros, verses and choruses.
Lyria 3 Pro will be offered first to paying subscribers on Google’s Gemini app. It will also be applied to Google’s Biz video editing app and ProducerAI, an AI music production tool it recently acquired.
Google also added music generation features to enterprise tools including Vertex AI, the Gemini API and AI Studio.
Google stressed that the model does not imitate specific artists and was trained using permitted Google and YouTube data. All AI-generated tracks will be assigned SynthID, which indicates the use of AI.
