LG HelloVision said on Feb. 23 it will run a “back-to-school support promotion” through its direct online store until the end of next month.
The promotion focuses on “Gwanglan Academy,” a high-speed internet plan for university students, on a one-year contract at 13,200 won a month. Gwanglan Academy is a one-year, short-term contract internet plan that is half the price of rival products. For university students who will live away from home for an extended period or need a long-term internet contract, the direct online store-only “WiFi-only giga internet” plan on a three-year contract at 17,000 won a month is also suitable.
It also adds special back-to-school benefits, including support for dining-out expenses with friends. Customers who sign up for broadcast and internet products through the promotion will receive Olive Young gift certificates of up to 50,000 won on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who sign up as a team of 2 or more will also receive an additional 100,000 won Myeongryun Jinsa Galbi gift certificate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Customers who want to apply must complete their subscription by the end of March after requesting a consultation on the promotion page of LG HelloVision’s direct online store. Those signing up for Gwanglan Academy must submit supporting documents such as a copy of a student ID or a certificate of enrollment. For team sign-ups of 2 or more, customers should enter the team name in the remarks section of the consultation request.
Hong Won-deok (홍원덕), an executive director and head of the consumer group at LG HelloVision, said, “LG HelloVision will continue to return distribution and marketing cost savings to customer benefits through the direct online store’s various services and deliver differentiated customer value.”
