Shinhan Bank said on March 25 it received a Seoul mayoral citation after being selected as a Seoul city-run "2025 exemplary organisation for public-private cooperation" at a "New Year Spring Concert" held at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts on March 24.
The Seoul public-private partnership exemplary organisation citation is awarded to organisations and companies that contribute to improving citizens’ quality of life and advancing city administration through public-private cooperation.
Shinhan Bank was recognised for helping expand the base of culture and arts and nurture promising talent by running the classic festival "S-Classic Week" under a culture and arts support agreement signed with the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in 2021.
In particular, it has provided Shinhan Music Award winners with opportunities to perform on the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts stage, laying the groundwork for them to grow into next-generation artists.
It has also offered free classical performances to employees and citizens, improving access to culture, and is contributing to revitalising the classical music market through continued discovery of promising talent.
A Shinhan Bank official said the award reflects recognition of the bank’s cultural and arts support achievements through public-private cooperation. The official said the bank would continue working with the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts to expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy culture.
