AhnLab held an ESG education lecture for employees on March 24, inviting Professor Kwak Jae-sik (곽재식), an environmental engineering expert at the Department of Environmental Safety Engineering at Soongsil Cyber University.
The lecture was arranged to help employees understand ESG more easily with an outside expert with expertise in the field and strong public communication skills, and to strengthen practical capabilities at both individual and organisational levels.
Kwak explained responses to climate change and the meaning of ESG under the theme, "The Earth is fine; we are the problem: ESG for a sustainable future." The lecture was run as an interactive programme centred on Q&A, and employees took part actively, AhnLab said.
The lecture was also streamed live online, with about 100 employees attending both online and offline. Starting with this lecture, AhnLab plans to hold at least 6 more ESG education sessions for employees and will continue to foster an organisational culture in which employees internalise ESG values and voluntarily put them into practice across their work.
