Wall Street financial institutions such as Morgan Stanley and BlackRock sharply increased their stakes in Ethereum treasury company Bitmine in the fourth quarter.

Bitmine shares fell about 48 percent in the fourth quarter of 2025, but major institutions increased the scale of their buying. Disclosures filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show Morgan Stanley, the largest shareholder, increased its holdings by about 26 percent to secure more than 12.10 million shares. ARK Invest, the second-largest shareholder, increased its stake by 27 percent to 9.40 million shares.

BlackRock increased its holdings by 166 percent, Goldman Sachs by 588 percent, Vanguard by 66 percent and Bank of America by 1,668 percent.

Bitmine is the world's largest corporate holder of Ethereum, with 4.37 million ether. It is worth about $8.69 billion based on book value.
