[DigitalToday reporter Seok Dae-geon] Samsung Electronics is targeting the North American luxury housing market. Samsung Electronics said on Saturday it will supply appliances from its luxury built-in kitchen brand Dacor to every household in Aripeka, an upscale residential complex in Viera, Florida.

Aripeka is a 260-home complex being built with a target completion in 2027 through a partnership of four high-end custom builders: Lifestyle Homes, Joyal Homes, CDS Builders and Stanley Homes.

Dacor appliances feature built-in designs that integrate with kitchen cabinetry and connect to Samsung Electronics' SmartThings to provide services such as energy management. Samsung Electronics acquired the U.S. luxury appliance brand Dacor in 2016. Products to be applied to the Aripeka complex comprise six types: a single-door column refrigerator and freezer, a full-column wine cellar, a dishwasher, a 48-inch dual steam range and a pro canopy wall hood.

Samsung Electronics is actively supplying B2B appliances, including Dacor, to the U.S. market and focusing on expanding business-to-business transactions with major builders. It also plans to supply Dacor appliances to single-family homes provided by Park Square Homes and Jones Homes in the Florida area.

Lee Sang-jik (이상직), a vice president at Samsung Electronics' DA Business Division, said, "Supplying Dacor to Aripeka is the result of Samsung's technological capabilities and brand credibility being recognized in the North American market." He added, "We will actively target the North American B2B market through the Dacor lineup, which combines premium design, strong performance and connectivity through SmartThings."
