South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT said on Monday it will support exports of domestically made research equipment by operating a Korean pavilion at two of the world's three major research equipment exhibitions, Germany's Analytica and Japan's JASIS.
Analytica 2026 is being held at Messe Muenchen trade fair center in Munich through March 27. It is Europe's largest analytical instruments exhibition, with 1,100 participating companies and about 34,000 attendees. Korean pavilion participants include Bioneer, Liam Solution, Eltech, Young In Ace and Young In Chromass, which will hold export consultations with overseas buyers.
Companies participating in JASIS 2026, to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba prefecture from Sept. 2 to 4, will be recruited through an announcement to be posted in April. It is Asia's largest analytical instruments exhibition, with 450 participating companies and about 20,000 attendees.
The ministry has operated Korean pavilions at the world's three major research equipment exhibitions since 2023. The cumulative value of export contracts is about 10 billion won.
Lee Eun-young (이은영), a ministry director, said, "We will identify promising companies with unrivalled technological capabilities and concentrate our policy capacity so that Korean research equipment can establish itself as a global market standard."
