Mirae Asset Securities said on Monday it held its 57th shareholders meeting at the Mirae Asset Center1 building in Jung-gu, Seoul, and approved the appointment of inside and outside directors, amendments to its articles of incorporation, and its financial statements and dividend payout.

At the regular meeting, it reappointed Vice Chairman Misup Kim (김미섭), Vice Chairman Seonho Heo (허선호) and President Gyeongnam Jeon (전경남) as inside directors.

Board Chair Jaeyong Song (송재용) and outside director Junhee Seok (석준희) were reappointed, while outside director Soohyun Ahn (안수현) was newly appointed. Ahn is a professor at the law school of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and a legal and financial consumer protection expert who is serving as a committee member for the consumer sector at the Financial Supervisory Service and as a non-executive director at the Digital Asset Protection Foundation, among other roles.

The audit committee comprises outside directors Hongseong Moon (문홍성) as chair, Song and Ahn.

Mirae Asset Securities also approved its fiscal 2025 financial statements and dividend payout. Last year, consolidated equity stood at 13.48 trillion won. Pretax profit came to 2.08 trillion won and net profit was 1.58 trillion won, up 70 percent and 71 percent year on year, respectively.

Total shareholder returns for 2025 are 634.7 billion won, including about 174.2 billion won in cash dividends (300 won per common share), about 290.3 billion won in stock dividends (worth 500 won per common share) and 170.2 billion won from the cancellation of treasury shares. This is a record-high level of shareholder returns, equivalent to about 40 percent of net profit.

A Mirae Asset Securities official said, "Mirae Asset Securities will strengthen investment in innovative companies and provide differentiated investment solutions and value." The official added, "We will continue to do our best so that growth in corporate value can lead to enhanced shareholder value."
