Selvas AI, an AI specialist, said on Monday it will expand its mobility AI business, led by its in-vehicle voice recognition middleware technology.
Selvas AI's voice recognition middleware is a technology that connects and controls different global voice recognition engines, including Amazon Alexa, Baidu, Cerence and SoundHound, so they operate reliably in vehicle environments. With a structure not dependent on any specific engine, it meets requirements from automakers and Tier 1 suppliers, including multilingual support, integration with vehicle systems and improved stability.
Selvas AI, which has built up the technology since 2020, has implemented a middleware environment supporting a range of languages across Europe, the Americas and Asia. It also secured mass-production supply experience by applying the technology to vehicles made by major domestic automakers.
It plans to broaden the scope of applications to rail and industrial mobility.
Lee Il-young (이일영), head of mobility lab business at Selvas AI, said experience in applying the technology to mass-production vehicles is at the core of its competitiveness. He said the company will expand its AI business across mobility based on proven technology.
