Lim Jong-ryong (임종룡), chairman of Woori Financial Group, was finally appointed as the group’s new chairman at its annual general meeting of shareholders on Sunday.
Lim was selected as a chairman candidate by the executive nomination committee in December last year and confirmed his reappointment after winning approval at the shareholders’ meeting. His new term runs through March 2029.
The meeting also approved the appointment of outside directors Yoon In-seop, Ryu Jung-hye and Jung Yong-gun.
