IT infrastructure distributor Futech Solutions said on Sunday it signed an exclusive distribution agreement in South Korea with U.S. AI video analytics solutions company Vaidio.

Under the partnership, Futech Solutions plans to supply the Vaidio AI vision platform in South Korea and jointly pursue channel partner expansion, technical support and business development.

Futech Solutions said Vaidio is an AI video analytics platform based on a global ecosystem. Its flagship product, the Core AI Vision Platform, provides video analytics functions required across various industrial sites.

It supports three visual-language model (VLM) inference server options that can be selected based on customer environments and required levels. It also supports a natural-language-based AI event generation feature called Vista. Futech Solutions said it expects the cooperation with Vaidio to help it expand its presence in South Korea’s AI video analytics market and broaden new business opportunities based on global solutions.

Sung Si-wan (성시완), chief operating officer, said many South Korean VMS companies often provide integrated AI video analytics functions in-house, while global VMS companies stress the importance of flexible integration with specialised AI video analytics solutions. He said Vaidio supports deep integration with global VMS and NVR systems in more than 30 countries, and that the company will work so domestic integrated solution partners can offer customers a more competitive AI video analytics environment.
