Proptech firm Zigbang said on Thursday it has upgraded its AI broker service and expanded its scope to cover one-room and two-room homes, officetels and villas.

Zigbang said it is expanding conversational search, previously focused on apartments, to all housing types as part of a strategy to shift its real estate platform from a simple listing search service to AI-based decision-making infrastructure.

With the update, users can search not only apartment listings but also one-room and two-room homes, officetels and villas through natural-language conversation. If renters enter everyday expressions for conditions they value, such as maintenance fees, parking availability and elevators, the AI analyzes them and suggests suitable listings. Users can also search with lifestyle phrases and brands such as "a quiet neighborhood", "a place with good school districts", "a one-room place on Line 2", "Raemian" and "Xi". If a location is unclear, the AI asks follow-up questions to improve accuracy.

If no listings match the search conditions, the AI will now expand the criteria step by step to present nearby alternatives. Instead of ending with "no results" as existing search platforms do, Zigbang has shifted to a method that reorganises and suggests options with a higher likelihood of a transaction. The industry is paying attention to the possibility that this feature could lead to improved listing inquiries and higher conversion rates to brokerage connections. Multilingual support has also been added, providing answers in English, Japanese or Chinese when users ask questions in those languages.
