Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is pushing a plan to raise a $100 billion fund to use AI to transform traditional manufacturing, TechCrunch reported on March 19, citing the Wall Street Journal.
The WSJ said Bezos plans to link up with AI startup Project Prometheus to acquire aerospace, semiconductor and defence companies and introduce AI-based automation.
Bezos has served as co-CEO of Project Prometheus with Big Bajwa (빅 바자) since November last year. Project Prometheus has secured $6.2 billion in investment and is focusing on developing AI models to transform manufacturing and engineering.
Bezos is also known to have recently visited Singapore and the Middle East to hold talks to raise funds.
