Woori Bank said on Feb. 20 it signed a joint marketing agreement with Samsung Electronics and LG Uplus a day earlier to attract customers in their teens and 20s.

Attending the signing were Woori Bank CEO Jung Jin-wan (정진완), Lim Sung-taek (임성택), vice president and head of Samsung Electronics' Korea business, and Lee Jae-won (이재원), vice president at LG Uplus, along with other key officials from the three companies.

Under the partnership, the companies plan joint marketing and promotions targeting younger customers, promote the Samsung Wallet Money service and continue various collaborations including special handset sales for Woori Bank customers.

They will focus on providing practical benefits, especially for teens and people in their 20s who are accustomed to mobile and simple payment services.

Jung said the collaboration aims to provide a differentiated experience for younger customers by combining mobile and telecom services with financial services. He said Woori Bank plans to keep expanding customer touchpoints with younger generations through strategic partnerships across various industries.
