Medical artificial intelligence startup Yeji X said on Thursday it has appointed Park Chang-min (박창민), a professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine, as a scientific adviser.
The company said Park is an authority in thoracic imaging and medical AI. It said he has served as chair of the AI programme committee at an Asia-Oceania radiology congress and is currently president of the Korean Society of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (KOSAIM).
Yeji X's "heart failure patient readmission prediction solution" supports higher predictive accuracy by integrating and analysing patients' electronic health records (EHR) and medical images. Park will provide comprehensive advice on advancing the solution's medical imaging analysis model and on strategies to verify clinical validity in real hospital settings.
Yeji X Chief Executive Seong-hyeon Jeong said, "With Professor Park's medical imaging AI expertise added to Yeji X's EHR foundation model technology, we have been able to catch two rabbits at once: technical completeness and clinical reliability."
