[DigitalToday reporter Dae-geon Seok] SOLUM will present an integrated store platform in Germany. SOLUM said on Thursday it will participate in EuroShop 2026, held in Duesseldorf, Germany. EuroShop is the world’s largest retail trade fair held every 3 years. It marks its 60th anniversary this year. SOLUM will unveil solutions based on its integrated platform, SSP (SOLUM Store Platform), at the exhibition.

EuroShop draws about 1,900 companies from 60 countries and around 80,000 visitors from 140 countries. It highlights AI, digitalisation and sustainability as key keywords. SOLUM plans to expand its foothold in Europe as an intelligent store management platform company, following North America.

"Retail in Sync" is a concept that integrates electronic shelf labels (ESL), AI cameras, digital signage and IoT sensor data into SSP. It links data through a single pipeline to provide real-time inventory management, customer traffic analysis and marketing on a single dashboard.

SOLUM, spun off from Samsung Electro-Mechanics in 2015, has wireless communications and electronic components technology. It stressed that its proprietary Newton communications protocol ensures stable data synchronisation even in large-scale retail environments, the company said.

The company also is seeking to expand sales of its recently launched "NewtonCore+". It will showcase new ESL products such as the "4-Color Freezer" and new signage products tailored to the European market, including a "55-inch semi-outdoor signage". It has a supply chain through its own production facilities in Vietnam, Mexico, India and China.

A SOLUM official said, "EuroShop is an important stage where we can prove SOLUM’s platform competitiveness in the mature retail environment of the European market." The official added, "We will carry forward in Germany the strong interest from the industry confirmed at New York’s NRF, and establish ourselves as a global standard leading the digital transformation of offline stores."
