Line Games, led by co-CEOs Sung-min Park (박성민) and Dong-hyun Cho (조동현), said on Wednesday it has launched a pre-open on Apple’s App Store for the mobile roguelite pixel adventure “Fairytale Quest,” developed by Wisely & Co, ahead of its official service.

The pre-open is being held for App Store users ahead of the global grand opening. Any App Store user who plays games can download and play the app. Account information created will be retained even after the official launch.

“Fairytale Quest” is based on roguelite-style gameplay and features about 400 maps from fairy tales and about 100 characters inspired by stories from around the world. It is designed for convenient one-handed play using a vertical screen and a virtual pad.

The game offers various content, including request mode, special mode and boss battles, as players work to set the twisted fairy-tale world right. It also provides a system for building individual strategies through combination magic.

Line Games will accept pre-registration via Google Play in regions excluding Canada, the Philippines and Indonesia, which are soft-launch countries, until the grand opening of “Fairytale Quest.” All users who take part in pre-registration on Google Play and the App Store will receive 3 costume sets at the official launch.
