GS Retail said on March 19 it will conduct its 2026 first-half open recruitment from March 23 to April 6 at 10 a.m. GS Retail said it is pushing the recruitment to secure distribution talent that will create the company’s future growth engines and to fulfil its social responsibility by creating youth jobs.

GS Retail will begin first-half open recruitment this year centred on its core businesses, GS25 convenience stores and GS The Fresh supermarkets. GS25 will recruit applicants for sales management roles, while GS The Fresh will recruit for store sales roles. Hiring for each business will be in the double digits.

GS Retail will fully introduce internship-linked hiring for this year’s first-half open recruitment for GS25 and GS The Fresh. It aims to discover field-oriented distribution talent. The company expects applicants to check job fit and satisfaction through practical experience such as internships.

GS25 will also move to discover local young talent through “Campus Recruiting”. Campus Recruiting is a process that uses major university campuses outside the capital area as recruitment hubs and first interview sites so local talent can fully demonstrate their capabilities. This year’s Campus Recruiting will be held at university campuses in Gangwon Province, North Chungcheong Province and North Jeolla Province.

The first-half open recruitment for new employees will run until April 6 at 10 a.m. Applicants who pass the document screening will go through an AI competency test, a first interview, an internship and a second interview, before being selected as final successful candidates by July.

Young-tae Jung (정영태), head of GS Retail’s HR and general affairs division, said the first-half recruitment focuses on selecting field-oriented distribution talent by strengthening job-specific suitability assessments. He said the company expects strong applications and interest from talent with high growth potential who can develop into distribution professionals with GS Retail and lead the future distribution industry.
