Channel Corporation, which operates the all-in-one AI business messenger ChannelTalk, said on March 19 it has appointed former Xenon Partners partner Lim Sang-wook (임상욱) as chief operating officer of its Japan unit.
Lim previously served as Asia managing partner at Xenon Partners, a U.S. B2B SaaS-focused investment fund.
In 2023, he founded IT consulting firm Nihonium, supporting Japan market entry strategies and local partnership building for startups in Korea and abroad.
Lim joined to lead Channel Corporation's expansion of its customer base in Japan and its global expansion, based on his strong understanding of Japan's IT business market and business operations experience across Asia, including Thailand and Singapore. He plans to focus on building a global operating system centered on the Japan unit and advancing localisation strategies.
Lim, Channel Corporation's Japan unit COO, said, "Watching ChannelTalk grow in Japan for more than 10 years, I was deeply impressed by its customer-centric product philosophy and fast execution." He added, "I will work to prove ChannelTalk's product competitiveness and AX technological capabilities not only in Japan but also in global markets."
