Toss is holding a marketing competition for foreign residents in South Korea as it moves to expand its user base.

Toss said on March 19 it will host the marketing strategy and execution competition, 'Toss Foreigner Bridge Crew (TOSS FOREIGNER BRIDGE CREW)'.

The contest will be run in a format in which participants directly analyze the market for foreign residents in South Korea and design and execute marketing strategies that can connect service entry to actual use. Selected teams will carry out projects based on mentoring from Toss staff and can verify their strategies in a real business environment.

Toss has built a multilingual support organization and upgraded its sign-up and authentication systems to improve financial access for foreign residents in South Korea. More recently, it partnered with global foreign exchange solution firm SentBe to expand the number of countries where overseas remittances are available to 50.

Anyone aged 19 or older residing in South Korea, both Koreans and non-Koreans, can apply, and participation is possible either individually or in teams of up to six. Applications will be accepted until April 5.

Selected teams will receive activity funding and certificates of completion. Depending on performance, prize money will be awarded: 2 million won for one grand prize team, 1 million won for one top excellence team and 500,000 won each for three excellence teams. Details can be found on Toss' official Instagram channel.

A Toss official said, "We prepared the program so participants can carry out real projects and gain experience understanding and executing from various user perspectives," adding, "Through this, we will continue to expand touchpoints so more users can naturally use the service."
