Korea Gold Exchange said on Saturday it has appointed actor Lee Je-hoon as its new exclusive brand model and will begin full-scale marketing activities.

Through the advertising campaign, Lee will promote the credibility of Korea Gold Exchange’s high-purity gold bars and its mobile gold trading platform, Geumbang Geumbang. The campaign is set to emphasise the message: “Gold trading should be done at a trustworthy place.”

A Korea Gold Exchange official explained the selection, saying Lee has built public trust through unceasing challenges and sincere acting, and that this perfectly aligned with the company’s brand identity, which takes honesty and trust as its management philosophy.

The advertising will be released sequentially via terrestrial broadcasters, starting with SBS on Jan. 2, as well as on cable TV, YouTube and social media channels. Korea Gold Exchange plans to strengthen integrated marketing for about 110 offline stores nationwide and the Geumbang Geumbang app, which helps with smart gold investment, following the appointment.
