Nexth said on Tuesday it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Holo Studio, an artificial intelligence (AI) and web3-based content developer.

Holo Studio developed the AI creation platform "PlayArts" and took first place at CDP Hackathon, a global web3 developer competition.

Under the agreement, the two companies will push to onboard Holo Studio's flagship project, "Elemimental", onto the Kross platform.

Elemimental is a strategic player-versus-player (PVP) card game that uses an element system. It features an AI-based user-generated content (UGC) system that lets users create card skins by entering text prompts. The created card skins are registered as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) at the moment of creation and can be traded on a market.

The companies plan to use Nexth's game economy infrastructure, "Kross Forge", to build Elemimental's tokenomics and to advance game content. Kross Forge is an economic infrastructure that allows game developers to issue tokens without knowledge of blockchain technology.

The two companies plan to start with this agreement and expand cooperation to "The Planet", Holo Studio's next massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMO) project under development.

Park Sung-chul (박성철), CEO of Holo Studio, said, "Games are evolving beyond play toward becoming content creators." He added, "In cooperation with Nexth, we will expand to the global market the experience of owning AI-made content as blockchain-based assets."

Jang Hyun-kuk (장현국), CEO of Nexth, said, "The game chain Kross is an open platform that onboards quality games." He added, "Kross Forge will help games take root based on user-based tokenomics."
