Payment failures and other errors on Naver Pay were fixed after about 5 hours.
Naver Pay said in a notice at 4:35 p.m. on the 19th that it had completed an emergency fix for errors affecting payments and reservations.
The errors, which began around noon, included problems checking points and completing payments on order forms, failures to view payment and event histories, inability to pay with points and money for on-site payments, and Pay Money Card payment failures.
Some customers also experienced cases in which card payments went through and were immediately cancelled, while others faced prolonged inconvenience due to continuous loading and waiting screens.
Naver Pay said, "We apologise once again for the inconvenience caused by the service error," adding, "We will work harder to provide more stable services."
