KB Financial Group said on March 18 it will run the 'Together We Sing Korea Survived' challenge through April 30 to keep momentum from its 'Korea Survived, rewritten' campaign.
To participate, people can record a video of themselves singing along to one of two guide tracks, 'Ordinary Days (VERSE)' or 'Korea Survived (CHORUS)'. They must upload it to their personal social media account, YouTube or Instagram, and post it with the two required hashtags, #TogetherWeSingKoreaSurvived and #KBFinancialChallenge.
The top 3 participants will receive prizes including a tablet PC, a Bluetooth speaker and wireless headphones. KB Financial Group will also pick 10 participants by lottery to receive a one-year music streaming pass and will give coffee coupons to all participants.
KB Financial said it will release the 'Together We Sing Korea Survived' video made with the public's voices on Aug. 15 Liberation Day.
Lyricist Han Seong-il (한성일) encouraged participation, saying, "We should remember that the 'ordinary days' we live are not something we were simply given, and I hope we remember history for a long time through song and that its meaning carries on to the next generation 100 years from now."
A KB Financial official said, "I think songs have the power to connect generations and connect hearts," adding, "I hope many people take part in this challenge, which we complete together with the public's voices, and that it becomes another force for remembering our history."
