Cafe24 said on Tuesday it supported the build-out of Eastar Jet's official direct-to-consumer (D2C) shopping mall, Star Star Store, through its customised solution Cafe24 Enterprise.

Star Star Store is a lifestyle mall that proposes the full travel experience. It built a product lineup including Eastar Jet goods previously available only onboard, as well as hotels, tours and activities, expanding customer touchpoints across travel.

Eastar Jet plans to continue discovering Star Star Store-only products that reflect its brand value, such as airline ancillary services in addition to goods and travel products, to expand its product portfolio.

Cafe24 supported the application of a catalogue-style detailed page design for Star Star Store. It aimed to let customers visually feel the excitement of travel, beyond simple information delivery, for Eastar Jet's experience-based product categories. It also enabled Eastar Jet's official Instagram posts to appear on the mall's main page to introduce the brand's own travel-related content and allow storytelling.

It also improved convenience for customer sign-up and login. Cafe24 implemented an integrated membership system (SSO) between Eastar Jet's official website and Star Star Store. Through this, Star Star Store users can use the entire travel process, from booking airline tickets to buying experience-based products, with a single account after a simple consent procedure.

Eastar Jet unified customer data based on the integrated membership system. It also strengthened a more sophisticated customised customer relationship management (CRM) strategy and personalised customer benefits based on accumulated data.

It plans to run dedicated discount benefits and promotions for Star Star Store members. It also plans to advance into a differentiated service that combines aviation and travel commerce by upgrading its own linkage functions and strengthening customer benefits based on cooperation with Cafe24.

Cafe24 Chief Executive Lee Jae-seok (이재석) said it was meaningful that Eastar Jet, through Cafe24 Enterprise, has begun to fully pursue a D2C strategy that organically links air services and travel products. Lee said Cafe24 will continue to upgrade related services so companies can reduce the time and cost burden of building their own shopping malls and quickly execute D2C strategies.
