Daum, a portal operated by AXZ, will co-host and sponsor the 12th Eoullim Marathon with visually impaired participants and is recruiting runners, it said on Tuesday.

The Eoullim Marathon is an event in which visually impaired and non-disabled participants run as a team. The race will be held at 8 a.m. on June 13 at Pyeonghwa Square in Sangam World Cup Park. Courses are split into 5 km, 10 km and half-marathon distances.

Applications can be submitted on the Eoullim Marathon website. Proceeds from the event are to be used for the Korea Sports Federation for the Disabled, welfare for Seoul's visually impaired people, and sports activities.

Daum has set up a dedicated event page to support registration and promotion. Users can reach the page by searching for "Eoullim Marathon" in Daum's search bar or clicking a related banner. The page provides key information including registration, an overview, schedule, course details and messages of support.

Daum has also prepared participation events and commemorative gifts for runners. It also plans to support a culture of everyday giving through donation activities for the visually impaired.

Yang Ju-il (양주일), AXZ's chief executive, said, "I hope the message of the Eoullim Marathon, which breaks down the boundary between non-disabled and disabled people and connects each other, reaches more users." He added, "We will do our best so that the social meaning can be widely shared and a sense of empathy can be formed on Daum."
