LG Uplus held a board meeting on the morning of Nov. 27 and carried out executive appointments that promoted three people to executive vice president, one to senior vice president and named seven new vice presidents.
The reshuffle placed AX at the forefront as the driver of medium to long‑term growth. It also focused on selecting talent to support growth in future core businesses, including AI contact centres, AI data centres and the AI call app Xio, while reinforcing fundamentals to strengthen competitiveness in core telecom operations.
Kwon Yonghyun, head of the enterprise division overseeing fixed and mobile B2B telecom operations and leading AI‑centred changes and growth in B2B portfolios such as AI contact centres and AI data centres, was promoted to executive vice president.
CFO and CRO Yeo Myonghee, who leads finance and crisis management, and CHO Yang Hyoseok, who oversees HR and labour‑management cooperation, were also promoted to executive vice president.
In the technology division, IT and platform build group head Jung Sungkwon, described as a microservices architecture expert driving service innovation through strong software capabilities, was promoted to senior vice president.
