S-OIL said on March 17 it held a kickoff event with Samsung SDS to mark the full launch of an integrated ITO, or IT outsourcing, project.
The event was arranged to commemorate the recent completion of S-OIL’s IT infrastructure data centre migration and to announce the start of the integrated ITO project being 추진 by the two companies.
S-OIL signed an integrated ITO contract with Samsung SDS last year and selected Samsung SDS as its integrated IT outsourcing provider for three years from March 2026. Samsung SDS will provide services across overall IT operations, including application and IT infrastructure operations, security, IT diagnostics and consulting on cloud migration.
The two companies recently completed work to move S-OIL’s key IT infrastructure to a Samsung SDS data centre. Through the large-scale migration, which was 추진 about 10 years after the last such move, S-OIL revamped its IT operating environment and further strengthened system stability and operating efficiency.
S-OIL Chief Executive Ryu Youl (류열) said the data centre migration and the start of the integrated ITO project would serve as an opportunity to upgrade S-OIL’s IT infrastructure operating system to the next level. He said S-OIL would strengthen a stable foundation for IT operations through cooperation with Samsung SDS and continue to drive digital innovation. Samsung SDS Chief Executive Lee Jun-hee (이준희) said the integrated ITO project would support stable IT service operations for S-OIL and that Samsung SDS would also actively support the shift to a cloud-based IT environment and digital innovation.
