Jung Jae-heon (정재헌), CEO of SK Telecom, met 2026 junior talent recruits and newly appointed team leaders in consecutive meetings and urged them to lead future change at SKT.
Jung met with junior talent recruits on Feb. 5 at T Tower in Seoul. After listening to their presentations of life graphs, he said, "After a downhill stretch ends, a higher peak follows," and urged them to overcome difficulties wisely and to look back with humility when they are at a high point.
He also answered questions about fundamentals and principles amid an AX transition. Jung said seniors know the direction of work and solutions well, but younger employees may be more familiar with new tools such as AI. He told them to use new tools and proactively propose direction.
He particularly cited "change" as a virtue that office workers must have. On the future of the telecommunications business, he said the telecommunications network is a core network supporting the AI era and stressed that the essence of the business is the customer.
Jung met newly appointed team leaders on Feb. 6 at SKT's talent development institute in Icheon. He said the company aims this year to fully create an environment for an AX transition and to make AI transition visible, and urged leaders who drive on-site work to raise issues proactively, find solutions and execute them. He added that leaders should make efforts to strengthen their own lives and fulfil their roles as core members of a dream team.
