[DigitalToday reporter Jin-ho Lee] Access disruptions occurred on YouTube mobile and web services on Feb. 18, the last day of the Lunar New Year holiday.
According to the related industry, normal video playback is not working on the YouTube mobile app and web page from around 10 a.m. on Tuesday. An error message saying, "A problem occurred," appears on the screen and content use is being restricted.
Access problems occurred in both mobile and PC environments. Differences have also been found between access environments, such as devices that began playing YouTube early in the morning streaming content without issues.
Downdetector, a site that tracks service outages, showed a surge in reports of YouTube-related errors at the same time.
The exact cause of the outage and the timing of recovery have not yet been confirmed.
