LG CNS is stepping up its push into South Korea's enterprise AX market using OpenAI technology.
LG CNS recently signed contracts with OpenAI as a reseller partner and an enterprise AI service implementation partner. Under the deals, LG CNS will support South Korean corporate customers through the full process, from introducing and using ChatGPT Enterprise, a corporate version of ChatGPT, to operating it.
Samsung SDS earlier signed a reseller partner contract with OpenAI and has been stepping up its push into the corporate market with ChatGPT Enterprise, drawing attention to competition between the two companies.
ChatGPT Enterprise provides an environment in which a company's internal information is not leaked outside or used for AI training. Linked with a company's internal systems and data, it enables users to quickly obtain desired outputs even when uploading complex work materials or large-volume documents.
According to OpenAI's recently released report on the state of enterprise AI, the volume of ChatGPT Enterprise conversations rose about eightfold from a year earlier. Token consumption related to reasoning used in complex problem-solving also increased about 320 times.
LG CNS plans to provide ChatGPT Enterprise to South Korean companies, equipped with strong security features and capable of handling high-difficulty tasks. To that end, it also created a dedicated task force called the OpenAI Launch Center. The organisation is centred on LG CNS AI specialist engineers, AI architects and AI consultants.
OpenAI specialist engineers will also cooperate to provide full-stack services covering consulting, specialised technical support and implementation needed to introduce ChatGPT Enterprise. LG CNS also plans to offer a hands-on workshop programme to help customers experience ChatGPT Enterprise and apply it to actual work, and expand its use across organisations depending on their stage of AI adoption.
LG CNS also plans to pursue development of customised AI agent services using OpenAI's application programming interface, based on its enterprise AI service implementation partner contract. Kim Tae-hoon (김태훈), vice president and head of LG CNS' AI Cloud Business Division, said, "LG CNS is creating the largest number of successful customer AX cases in South Korea," adding, "Through cooperation with OpenAI, we will further strengthen our leadership in South Korea's enterprise AX market."
