AI startup Cohere has surpassed $240 million in annual revenue as it expands its foothold in the corporate market, CNBC reported on Feb. 13.
CNBC cited an investor memo.
Cohere exceeded its $200 million target after growing more than 50 percent quarter-on-quarter in 2025. Cohere raised its valuation to $7 billion with backing from investors including Nvidia and Salesforce Ventures.
Cohere is continuing to grow in the enterprise market while competing with OpenAI and Anthropic, CNBC reported. Cohere chose what it calls a “capital-efficient model” that uses customers’ hardware rather than its own cloud infrastructure to cut costs versus rivals, and focuses the savings on customer acquisition and research and development. It recorded an average gross margin of 70 percent in 2025.
Cohere plans to further expand its enterprise customer base by expanding in Europe and developing its North AI agent platform.
